Manchester’s historic Victoria Baths is set to transform into one of the UK’s most eye-catching football destinations this summer, as a brand-new event series gears up to bring screenings of the 2026 World Cup live from the Edwardian swimming palace.
Victory at the Baths will offer a unique way to watch the quadrennial tournament, with showings of the games taking place directly on the floor of the venue’s iconic main pool. The surrounding spaces will also be opened up for fans to explore, creating a relaxed, social setting that blends live sport with one of Manchester’s most recognisable architectural landmarks.
The second swimming area will be reimagined as a hub for food and drink, featuring street food traders and bars, giving fans plenty to enjoy before kick-off and during the action.
Organisers are promising a “big-screen football event in one of the most visually striking venues in the city”, with England’s opening World Cup match against Croatia on Wednesday 17th June set to launch the series in style.
The format is designed to bring supporters together in a space that feels more like a festival than a traditional screening. With its mix of heritage architecture, open-plan social spaces and large-scale screenings, the event aims to deliver a fresh take on match-day viewing.
