London six-piece Man/Woman/Chainsaw have announced their signing to Fiction Records, the legendary label home to The Cure, St. Vincent, and The Horrors; to coincide with the announcement, they've also released a euphoric new single, ‘Only Girl’.

Recorded at RAK Studios with producers Seth Evans (Geordie Greep) and Margo Broom, ‘Only Girl’ marks the band’s debut release on Fiction: a bright, boisterous love song built around grungy guitar riffs and a cutting violin top line, and the first taste of a debut album expected in 2026.

Vera, lead vocalist on "Only Girl", had the following to say about the new track: "Only Girl is our playful love song. Built around a ripping violin top-line and birthed from a grungy guitar jam, it gradually became something more boisterous and altogether more joyful - a total declaration of love. We had a lot of fun making it."

The single arrives on the back of a landmark year that’s seen Man/Woman/Chainsaw go on two sell-out UK tours, record live sessions for KEXP and BBC 6 Music, and make their debut appearance at SXSW - where Rolling Stone described them as “a young band in the process of inventing something ecstatically new.”

Formed by friends Billy Ward and Vera Leppänen at just 16, the close-knit group have fast become one of the UK’s most talked-about emerging acts, drawing acclaim from NME, The Guardian, The Quietus, DIY, The Line Of Best Fit, and Stereogum. Keep these guys on your radar, as the only way is up.
