February 11th sees one of the newest big names on Manchester's party scene come together with one of the oldest, for a double celebration at Sound Control.

Celebrating their second birthday, Lowdown and Dirty bring the amazing Scratch Perverts to Sound Control's atmospheric loft space, while legendary Manchester night Tangled take over the bar and basement to celebrate Tangled Breaks' 15th anniversary year and the launch of the new Tangled book.

DJ Primecuts, Tony Vegas and Plus One are the Scratch Perverts - a name that has  become synonymous with HipHop and battle DJing ever since their formation in 1996. Their multi-deck wizardry and scratching skills are renowned all over the world and their reputation as one of the world’s most progressive DJ collectives is unparalleled.

Support comes from Lowdown and Dirty residents Resistance and Ash Howell, who'll be rocking the party with their techno, electro, tech-funk infused breakbeats and basslines.

In the bar, Tangled's Steve Thorpe will be busting out his trademark Tangled Breaks sound to kick-off a year of special events to celabrate Tangled Breaks 15th Anniversary year. Mixing up classic breaks from the infamous Phoenix days together with future rhythms of the breakbeat scene, Steve will be joined by Manchester's finest female breaks DJ Miss Tickle playing an old skool breakbeat set, Matt Howson dropping classic breakbeat from the last 10 years, and Key Lo and Sicknote bringing their slamming tech-funk acid vibes to the party.

Downstairs in the basement, DJs Terry Pointon, Rascal and Snoopy will be taking control and delighting Tangled followers with a set packed full of tunes that rocked the legendary Phoenix club from 1997 - 2006. Reach for the lasers, because it's going to be house, trance and techno classics all night long.

Tickets for this epic night, bringing together the old and new of Manchester's rave scene, are a mere £10 and are available through Skiddle below.
