Warpaint have announced a new album for September and previewed a track from it titled 'new song'. They open Liverpool Music Week on Wednesday 26th October.
Their third record will be titled 'Heads up' and the early pointers suggest it will be their most upbeat yet. It's out with the moody cool and into dancier territory as Warpaint declare, "I have never felt this strong/Dancing to you all night long".
Breezy harmonies whisp over a foot stomping rhythm, jiving melodies and majestic electronic elements with Lindberg putting in an irresistibly funky shift on bass. After dispersing for solo projects including Jenny Lee's solo LP Right On!, the chemistry is clearly strong as ever within Warpaint.
It's a shapeshifting statement of intent from the LA gang and we absolutely can't wait for the album released Friday 23rd September.
