LIMF Academy launches Sound Sessions to spotlight underrepresented DJs in Liverpool

LIMF Academy launches Sound Sessions with Hannah Lynch, offering DJ sets, mentorship and a free masterclass supporting under-represented talent in Liverpool.

LIMF Academy is kicking off Sound Sessions, a brand-new DJ-focused series designed to spotlight and support underrepresented talent across the Liverpool City Region.

Delivered in partnership with Pirate Studios’ Studio For All Fund, Sound Sessions blends filmed DJ performances, live learning and real access - giving emerging DJs the tools, space and platform to level up. Expect sessions that highlight the city’s depth of talent while opening doors into the industry, both on and off the decks.

The series launches with a run of DJ set episodes from Amber Rose, MYOHMY, Sharan Deep and YEAHITSRENEE, all hosted by Hannah Lynch (Girls Don’t Sync). A DJ, producer and proud Liverpool native, Hannah fronts the project as both presenter and mentor, guiding each session while championing the next wave of local selectors.

As part of Sound Sessions, Hannah Lynch will also be hosting a free DJ masterclass on 25 February at District Liverpool, offering hands-on DJ training alongside an open Q&A on careers, creativity and the realities of working in music. From those attending, four DJs will be selected to record a live filmed DJ session and receive ongoing mentorship as part of the project.
