Never short of a cracking line up or two, Glasgow's Sub Club continues to act as one of the city's most renowned electronic music venues, with a busy schedule welcoming the likes of Pearson Sound, nd_baumecker, Optimo and Andrew Weatherall in the coming few weeks. But before all that, Sub Club have secured the skills of live hardware techno duo Karenn to tear the club a new one on October 16th.

Known individually as Blawan and Pariah, the irreverent and insanely grungey double team have been responsible for some of the most earsplitting, bludgeoning techno of the past few years. Their imprint SheWorks depsite only being five releases long (Karenn release number six in the series in a week's time) has forged a rowdy, rough as hell dynamic in techno across Europe, and one that continues to seduce new fans disillusioned with the clinical, sanitized sounds of much modern electronic music.

Their hardware heavy sets (check out their Boiler Room set above) journey through intense industrial landscapes and dulled, relentless beats, sounding like a war march charging through a dystopian landscape - it's powerful, haunting stuff which has drawn many imitators, but the forceful, uncompromising nature of Karenn really takes some beating.

Those looking for exhilarating, dark and edgy techno can really do no better than experience this spawn of Satan that Blawan and Pariah have conjured. Glaswegian techno overlords Slam join them for a night crammed with serious rave tackle. Grab your Karenn tickets here.
