Jungle Jam the 10th birthday

A decade is a milestone that marks out any clubbing institution, big or small, as a superior platform for the genre of music it entertains, and in this case it's all things bass as Jungle Jam celebrate their 10th year at Mint Warehouse, Leeds on Friday 6th February.  

In years gone by, Jungle Jam has remained the go to place for premium slabs of drum and bass, welcoming the likes of Andy C and Congo Natty in the not so distant past. This time round they present more of the same quality, with a horde of top dollar selectors exploiting an almighty Funktion One System to initiate the commemorative rave up.

Jungle pioneer Micky Finn takes pole position with MC Skibadee exercising his lyrical prowess over the medley of breakbeat and percussive goodness, as perceived below, that's sounded out Finn as one of the genre's greats. 

Ed Solo throws down a cacophony of dance classics that's put him in the same breath as Fatboy Slim and Roots Manuva in the past. Bad Company instils a set solely strewn with classic whilst MC Eksman provides some lyrical backing to Remarc's amalgamation of reggae, jungle and rare groove. 

It wouldn't be a Jungle Jam without Nicky Blackmarket who sets in stone a dedicatory 10 year set . Digital Soundboy's Marcus Visionary is also on hand for more of that bassy stuff, as is Potential Soundboy, Total Science and Conducta amongst a raft of other industry figureheads to give Jungle Jam the recognition it deserves.
