For one night only, it's an r&B free for all at Manchester Academy as they roll out the red carpet for Joe, 112 and Ginuwine on Saturday 31st January.
Joe Lewis Thomas, better known on stage as Joe, steps in with some charming vocal splayed over some feel good rhythmic beats for the first instalment of unadulterated bliss. His gospel background and occasional dip into hip hop gives him tremendous choral pedigree, a skill set that has lead to a string of sought after LPs.
Equally adept in the field are esteemed group 112, born out of the Sean 'Puffy Daddy' Combs Bad Boy squadron that lent its name to the likes of Notorious B.I.G. They were able to garner a mainstream audience with their clean cut approach, 'Only You' (above) was arguably the catalyst to their success and since that they never looked back.
Last but certainly not least, Ginuwine rounds off the star studded bill. A leading member of hip hop soul's nineties heyday where he worked shoulder for a while to should with legendary producer Timbaland, Ginuwine's post r&b production has lent itself to timeless tracks such as 'Pony' (above) that helped define the golden era of modern soul music.
