The People’s Poet, Jamie Webster, has announced his fourth studio album, Running Round The Sun, alongside a newly revealed UK tour set for September 2026.
The Liverpool singer-songwriter has scheduled the release of the new record for Friday 4th September via Modern Sky, marking the follow-up to his 2024 Top Five album, 10 For The People. To coincide with the release, Webster will head out on a run of UK dates, kicking things off at Southampton’s The 1865 on Saturday 5th September.
After years of playing huge outdoor shows and arena-sized gigs, including a massive hometown show in front of 32,000 fans last summer, Webster is taking things back to smaller venues, giving fans a more intimate live experience this time around.
The announcement arrives alongside new single ‘Just Begun’, the first taste of Webster’s next chapter. The track sets the tone for an album shaped by identity and reflection, while still holding onto the socially aware songwriting that has become a trademark of his music.
Speaking about the new album, Webster said:
“This album is about trying to make sense of it all - life, pressure, expectations, the way things are changing around us and still holding onto who you are through it.”
Recorded between Rockfield Studios in South Wales and Mission Sound in New York, Running Round The Sun sees Webster reunite with producers Dave Eringa and Tim Cunningham, alongside his regular touring band. The album also features collaborations with Kieran Shudall and Rianne Downey.
