What do you get when you combine one of Scotland's biggest electronic music exports, the country's most fearsome bagpipers and drummers, one of its Hollywood actors and finest poets, all coming together to inspire a nation ahead of a World Cup after a 28-year absence?
Well, you get 'Keep It Tribal' - the unofficial Scottish World Cup anthem courtesy of Ayrshire's Ewan McVicar and an all-star cast of Scottish talent.
Under the banner of The Scheme & Clanadonia, McVicar and co. have blended euphoric dance music, spoken word, bagpipes and pounding tribal percussion into something built for the nation's return to the beautiful game's biggest competition. With the full track arriving on 5th June, fans have already had a first taste through a newly released teaser, where Ewan explains how the anthem came together and how Billy Gilmour was the unlikely spark behind it.

Written and produced by McVicar alongside Stuart Crichton, Keep It Tribal brings together the thunderous drumming and bagpipes of Clanadonia, original poetry from Bryce Drennan, and spoken-word vocals from Sons of Anarchy and Gladiator actor Tommy Flanagan, creating a collaboration that feels uniquely Scottish from top to bottom.
The track was given its first outing during McVicar's headline set at Pavilion Festival in Ayr back in May, where it closed proceedings to a huge reception from the hometown crowd. With Scotland's World Cup campaign now firmly on the horizon, don't be surprised if you hear this one ringing out from pubs, homes, and blue and white-clad fan zones across the country.
Keep It Tribal is released on 5th June.
