Following on from their resounding success with their Three Kings of House event back in January, the guys at Hard Times have once again shown their penchant for signing the biggest and best names in house music with the announcement of their latest guests.

May the 4th sees the arrival of ‘Legends’, a name so apt you wonder what else they could have called it!

Todd Terry will be heading up the bill. The brooklyn born DJ, producer and remixer is a man in no need of an introduction. Since the 80’s, Todd Terry has been forging a career with this unique concoction of disco, hip hop, and chicago house influences combining to devastating effect. Since getting his break in the UK in the late 80’s, the New Yorker has continued to develop the sounds of house, progressive house and deep house. With a slew of huge remixes which occasionally crossed over into the mainstream, as well as hit singles including “Something Goin’ on” and “Keep on Jumpin’”, Todd Terry has continued to show his flexibility and panache combined with immense talent to remain at the forefront of dance music. Expect a night where the American DJ will use all 20 years of his dancefloor dominating experience and party starting attitude to create a set that will stick in your mind for a long time to come.

Joining him will be none other than Joey Negro. Also known as Jakatta, Doug Willis, Raven Maize, and Akabu, real named Dave Lee was one of the original artists to use disco samples in his productions when he began way back in 1988. With his productions being resolutely cutting edge, Joey Negro has become one of the most commercially successful and highly sought after artists in the industry. The godfather of soulful house music has shown through his impressive back catalogue and his deep understanding as a DJ that his passion for music is well and truly alive, as he continues to tour the world to huge crowds of delighted fans. His night at Hard Times will be littered with amazing tune selection, a wide range of exclusives and classics, as well as tracks at the frontier of current house.

As if that wasn’t enough, British DJ legend and owner of an M.B.E, Norman Jay will also be appearing behind the decks at Hard Times. Since establishing himself as a DJ on KISS FM back in the 80’s (when it was a pirate station), Norman Jay has become one of the most influential characters in the house music scene, with his Radio London Show, as well as his now legendary collaboration with Gilles Peterson to create Talkin’ Loud Records. Norman will be delighting the London crowd with his eclectic selections of disco and soul infused house as he uses his wealth of experience to keep everyone moving throughout the night. Also appearing will be legendary DJs Terry Hunter and CJ Mackintosh.

With such an incredible lineup announced, Hard Times is all set to showcase just why these DJs are true legends in their field, as they converge at Cable on May 4th.
