Frazi.er releases debut album, 'Capitalism Kills Culture'

"Every project's got a story and meaning behind it, and this one highlights that.”

Frazi.er’s debut album Capitalism Kills Culture is out now.

The Scottish techno artist released the thirteen-track album (including a digital bonus track) via Parallel Visions, his own label.

In an Instagram post, Frazi.er describes the album as one that “represents decades of influence from Detroit's rawness, old-school techno, and 90s electronica - a combination of the sounds that shaped me.”

In a video posted on Instagram, Frazi.er said: "The last year has been challenging for many artists, including myself. I think the industry's changed a lot, and the sad reality is viral content has more value than the music that's related to you as an artist.”

"Every project's got a story and meaning behind it, and this one highlights that.”

"[The album is] my way of rebelling against modern trends. It's designed as a listening album to take you on a journey, starting off deeper, more emotional, and then finishing again on an electronica track.”

Also calling the debut album a “career goal”, the album was digitally released today (7th November), and will be followed by a "gatefold album, which will open up like a book... coming on a grey marble vinyl.”

Signing off in the video, Frazi.er tells us the release party for the album will be held tomorrow (Saturday 8th November) at SWG3 in Glasgow. He will perform from open to close. Expect no cameras on the dancefloor.
