Psych rock troubadours The Brian Jonestown Massacre have unveiled details of a massive show at Bristol's Motion, where they will bring swirling pop sonics new old and old to an autumn date.

The San Francisco outfit are set to come to the South West city on Sunday 14th October, bringing with them Something Else, their 17th full-length release, the style of which is less experimental than more recent records and harks back to the traditional sound of the band.

The group was the subject of the 2004 documentary film Dig!, and have gained both notoriety and cult status for their turbulent working relationships as well as the erratic behaviour of mercurial leader Anton Newcombe.

As well as Something Else, fans will hope the band will be dropping tracks from their self titled second release of the year which is due to drop in September by all accounts, and with two new records plus the likes of seminal record Their Satanic Majesties' Second Request and many, many more - it's set to be a celebration of one of the finest cult rock bands of all time in Bristol.
