The wait to get a peak at T2 Trainspotting is over at last. The follow up to the legendary 1996 tale of Renton, Sick Boy, Spud, Tommy and Begbie comes 20 years later with the original cast in usual form.

They reunite following the huge heroin deal that saw Rents desert his mates with a huge sum of money and like everyone else, we can't wait to find out what the touch-screen glare of modern life brings.

Judging by the trailer, old habits, of all kinds, die hard, although the script completely lands you in 21st century Britain with the iconic monologue now ordering you to "choose life, choose Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and hope that someone, somewhere cares".

While scenes of chaos punctuate images of the gang reuniting, Underworld's 'Born Slippy' lurks ominously in the background - a reminder perhaps that nothing really ever changes.

The film will land in cinemas on January 27th 2017, and there will be absolutely nothing that we will be choosing over it.
