Dutch DJ-producer Job Jobse has launched his new label, Planet Strangelove.
Announcing the news on Instagram on 29th August, the DJ explained the first EP would be a four remixes of Pianoman's '90s track 'Pasion', saying the upcoming release “is one very close to my heart”.
Featuring remixes from Alex Kassian, The Trip (who recently released their debut mixtape), and Andy Stoddon, the EP is due for release on 13th September. Two tracks have already been released - remixes from The Trip and Alex Kassian’s Mandarine Dance Mix.
In the post, Jobse said, “It all started three years ago when I heard an overlooked Pianoman track called Pasion, which I included in my first Dagen Van Diamant mix. When I asked James / Pianoman for more details about the record it turned out there was also an incredible unreleased ‘90s Balearic version based on Tangerine Dream’s Love On A Real Train, quite possibly my favourite song ever."
Continuing, he said, “James and I have been discussing a release ever since and to breathe new life into the record and complete the EP, I’ve asked Alex Kassian to rework the original and he came through with two stunning versions, a dance mix and an ambient mix. The Trip remixed the Dagen Van Diamant version I first discovered in a way only they could and the gorgeous, previously unreleased, ‘90s Analysis Mix by Andy Stoddon finishes off the record.
“I couldn’t be more proud of this and I’m so excited to properly release these into the world.”
