Dizzee Rascal wants to do a heavy metal album.

The 'Bonkers' rapper revealed that he is inspired by a lot of bands from the unlikely genre, and that he may explore rock music further in the future.

He told Zoo magazine: "I've thought about doing a heavy metal album. I'm into Iron Maiden, Nirvana, Korn, Slipknot and Rage Against The Machine.

"Last time I was in Australia, we went out to watch Rage Against The Machine just after they reformed and it really made me want to do a heavy metal album."

The star - whose real name is Dylan Mills - also recently revealed he was a fan of goth/shock rocker Marilyn Manson, and would be interested in collaborating with the controversial star.

He said: "I want to work with Marilyn Manson. Seriously. I know he's worked with other hip-hop artists but I'd want it to be bigger than that, much bigger.

"I've got a dark side - I'd want to explore it with him in a major, major way."

Dizzee last week claimed his fourth UK number one hit with 'Dirtee Disco'.
