Controlling the stress levels is of prime value if one wants to retain good health. Today?s busy lives are full of stress that makes us ill both mentally and physically. The postures (asanas) of Yoga place a great emphasis on meditation and breathing, therefore they help to calm the mind, mediate the body?s typical response to stress and make it easier to deal with various stress levels. Stress reduction is a major health benefit of practicing yoga which has huge impact on the quality of life. After two years they did another scan. The group practising Yoga did not lose bone; instead, they gained bone density. The ones who didn't do the yoga lost a little bone, as expected in case of an adult.
