More news from our pals at the Wickerman Festival. They have revealed that the Saturday night headliner for 2014's soiree will be seminal Scottish pop-rock band Del Amitri, as well as genre fusionists Alabama 3 and other main stage acts that will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Del Amitri will grace the Wickerman stage in their first festival appearance in 12 years, headlining proceedings on Saturday 26th July. Amassing over six million album sales, the group are famed for their blend of indie art pop, folk infused ballads and Brit rock, with instantly recognisable hits such as ‘Nothing Ever Happens’ (above), ‘Always the Last to Know’, ‘Roll to Me’ and ‘Kiss This Thing Goodbye’.

Alabama 3. will always be remembered as the musical embodiment of The Sopranos, their ‘Woke Up This Morning’ utilised as the theme tune to the hit American TV series. Beyond that immediate claim to fame though the Brixton based group are revered for their fusion of styles, mixing rock, dance, blues, country, gospel, and spoken word, as well as their electric presence on stage.

They join the likes of Dizze Rascal, Big Country, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and The Feeling who were all announced last weekSee the full line up here.
