In the pantheon of great DJs DJ Harvey is up there with the best of them. A renowned audiophile, he first came to prominence in the early nineties by helping bring the US garage sound to London, famously bringing the likes of Francois K and Larry Levan to his weekly night Moist by bringing house and disco full circle as acid house spiralled into a club scene.
Exiled to Hawaii for the majority of the beginning of this century, a return a few years ago confirmed his legendary status with lengthy sets giving him the opportunity to roam free throughout his vast collection. This event, seeing him return to another of his early stomping grounds of the nineties Ministry of Sound, will be no different - with his entire set played through the Dolby atmos soundsystem. Check him in fine form on a classic Beats in Space podcast above.
Whilst Harvey will command The Box for the entire evening, the talent list is just as eclectic and well versed elsewhere. 103 sees Terry Farley, Maurice Fulton and Awesome Tapes from Africa holding court with a true nineties throwback in the Loft with chilled grooves from legendary selectors Mixmaster Morris and Dr Alex Patterson of The Orb.
