Award-winning Dorking dramatic group, DDOS, is thrilled to present the outrageously hilarious horticultural comedy rock musical 'Little Shop of Horrors'. The show will be running at the Green Room Theatre from the 9th to 13th October 2012. A fantastic musical full of catchy songs, where boy meets girl and plant eats world!

Set in urban Skid Row, nerdy orphan Seymour Krelborn spends his life devoted to his job at 'Mushnik's', a flower shop where he is constantly berated by his exploitive boss Mr. Mushnik and struggles to work beside Audrey, who he is madly in love with. His life seems mundane and repetitive until a strange and exotic plant appears in a sudden eclipse of the sun, dramatically changing both his life as well as those of the people around him.

The plant becomes an overnight sensation, catapulting Seymour and the shop to new found levels of fortune and fame. The success from the plant brings him closer to Audrey, but how will he deal with her sadistic, gas inhaling dentist boyfriend Orin Scrivello? Will he allow the plant to take over his life, and maybe even the world?

The score consists of catchy music composed by Alan Menken, demonstrating influences from 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown music and is largely held together by the three street urchins who are full of attitude and help to narrate the story. With Kit-Mei Kong as the Director, and Ian Twentyman as the Musical Director 'Little Shop of Horrors' is set to deliver an evening of laughter, fun and a strange plant with a quest to take over the world.
