The Council of Bens, the UK's biggest ̶c̶u̶l̶t̶ community of people named Ben, are back up to their bental antics for charity again. This Saturday, the group of Bens, which will be over 30 strong, will be climbing Ben Nevis in support of YoungMinds mental health charity. Upon which the group hope to hold both the highest sports day AND the highest karaoke sets in UK history.
The climb comes almost a year to the day since they last climbed Ben Nevis - a feat that saw the ̶c̶u̶l̶t̶ community host the highest rave in UK history (allegedly) and raise over £2,000 for Ben’s Shelter, a Sheffield-based charity that supports people affected by substance abuse, as well as mental health charity Mind.
This time around, it isn't just about the hike, though. To help raise the money, one of the members of the Council of Bens, Ben Bradley, has been cycling all the way from Big Ben to Ben Nevis in the #Ben2BenChallenge. That's over 600 miles!
So far, the Council of Bens have raised over £1.5k for YoungMinds. Help them reach their target of £2,500 by donating to their GoFundMe - HERE

Originally starting out as a joke between friends at Boomtown in 2023, which saw them try and amass as many Bens as possible at the festival, has evolved into a 1600 + strong community that puts mental health (or as they call it, Bental Health) at the forefront of everything they do. A notion which has led to their huge Bens group chat, in which fellow Bens can talk openly with and give support to each other in times of need.
Having done a rave in front of Big Ben, which saw them get numerous people to sign up to the stem cell register after a fellow Ben's Leukaemia diagnosis; returned to their inception point at Boomtown each year to amass all the Bens; and with an "It's Raining Ben" skydive also in the works. Nothing can stop them from spreading their message of positivity.
The charity they are supporting with the hike, YoungMinds, is leading the movement to make sure every young person gets the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what. Providing young people with the tools to look after their mental health, empowering adults to support the young people in their lives, and amplifying young voices to change the world we live in.
Please donate what you can and support the Bens in the link above/below; you really can make a difference!
