After a well deserved Summer break, Chibuku is back. And they're firing on all cylinders from the off, with a fantastic re-opening party headlined by Simian Mobile Disco.

Having spent the last three months recharging its batteries, Liverpool club night Chibuku is ready for a big nine months ahead, with some truly awesome line ups forming under the Chibuku banner.

The first Chibuku event of the new season is on Saturday 17th September, and will see headliners Simian Mobile Disco rocking The Theatre, joined by the aural delights of Jacques le Cont, Alex Metric and more.

James and Jas - aka SMD -  have pretty much taken over electronica, with their recent Delicatessen album further showcasing their verve and prowess. They remain festival headliners and club rockers – and each time they come to Liverpool the city can expect some of the finest sounds in house and techno.

Grammy award winning producer Jacques le Cont has worked with some of the biggest acts in the world during his glittering career, and in August he returned to Liverpool and had the Shipping Forecast rocking. This gig sold out in advance, and was so good Chibuku wanted to get him back asap.

Finally Alex Metric is a bit of a 'Buku fave; he played the forest summer party a couple of years back and made many friends in the club’s loyal support. His summer album Open Your Eyes garnered plenty of acclaim, marking Alex as one of the new wave of young British talent. Chibuku’s own star James Rand kicks off proceedings.

The Loft will be shuddering to warped bass lines and big beats as part of the Viper Recordings show. DJ Hype headlines, with IC3 laying down an assault of beats along with Brookes Brothers and Insiderinfo in support. Liverpool’s own stalwart and Viper Recordings honcho Futurebound also spins. MC's Madrush and SAS provide the vocals.

Down in Ink, there’s an all night battle between Revo and the Now Wave DJs. Expect a true genre-crossing party from start to finish.
