Lo fi cult heroes Car Seat Headrest will head over to the UK this year to bring their gritty, guitar sonics to a hugely anticipated date at Liverpool's Invisible Wind Factory on Saturday 19th May.

Initially the moniker of William James Toledo Barnes aka Will Toledo, Car Seat Headrest came to be down to Toledo's insistence of recording demos from the privacy of his car and before being signed to Matador Records in 2015, released an astonishing 12 albums via online platform Bandcamp.

This include 2011 fan favourite Twin Fantasy which perfectly demonstrates Car Seat Headrest's penchant for "moody and introspective lo-fi pop tunes that are melodic but structurally ambitious at once" and included the above track 'Nervous Young Inhumans', which has since been edited and rereleased.

2015 saw the release of compilation album Teens Of Style, Toledo's first without the aid of just Bandcamp, before a traditionally created studio offering Teens Of Denial was released in 2016 - the point at which fans across the world became much more aware of the Virginia based outfit.

More new music has since followed, and this gives fans plenty to look forward to as far as Carseat Headrest's UK shows are concerned - you can find Car Seat Headrest tickets below from 10am on Friday 12th January
