Rob Da Bank's family friendly jamboree returns to the fairytale setting of Lulworth Castle this August for another weekend of music, arts, comedy and a whole host of fantastical kids' activities.
Topping the main stage bill this year are Richard Hawley, Levellers and Labrinth, joined by a diverse line-up of artists from an eclectic range of genres. DJ Fresh (live), Toots and the Maytals, I am Kloot, Billy Bragg, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Gabrielle Aplin, Tom Odell, DJ Yoda, Lissie, The Farm and Beardyman are just some of the live acts set to perform - along with a special Rocky Horror Show performance from The Polyphonic Spree.
DJ sets come from Rob Da Bank, Grandmaster Flash, Sasha, David Rodigan's Ram Jam, Andrew Weatherall's A Love From Outer Space, Fabio & Grooverider and many more, while Alan Davies heads up the comedy line-up, with more acts to be announced soon.
As always, there'll be loads for kids (and big kids) to get involved in, with Camp Bestival family fun including the festival premiere of Horrible Histories' Barmy Britain, Mr Tumble, Erth's Dinosaur Zoo, Dick n Dom, Let It Be, Young British Foodies and many, many more.
The theme for this year's festival is 'Around the World', so guests are invited to take influence from faraway lands - from Indian circuses to Italian pop-up restaurants and Belgian ska bands.
Richard Hawley said of his headline appearance: "I am so chuffed to have been asked to headline this festival. I like the fact that there's an hour's silence on the Saturday to accommodate an ancient church service; most modern festivals would give that the rods and just steam roll over it. But mainly I am looking forward to making the folks happy at a great event like this, big old castle, ancient Jurassic coast, rock n roll, poetry and theatre."
