Boardmasters, one of the most loved events of the summer, not least because it lies in one of the most beautiful festival locations in the country, returns this year with an even more incredible lineup of artists and performers.

This week sees two more headliners announced for the much loved and quickly sold out Beach Sessions Bar. There really is nothing like the sight of the sun setting over the beautiful Fistral Beach whilst your favourite bands soundtrack the moment, providing an intimate and unforgettable addition to the Boardmasters experience.

The Wednesday night of the festival will see a band on everyone’s lips at the moment: The 1975. With a slew of hot new releases, sold out gigs, increased radio play and persistent press praise, The Radio 1 A listers are riding a wave of success spearheaded by the massive single ‘Chocolate’. Manchester’s homegrown indie lads will be delighting the crowd at The Fistral Beach site on Wednesday 7th August with their usual display of pop rock goodness.

One of 2011’s mainstage highlights returns for the Thursday night edition of the Beach Sessions: Benjamin Francis Leftwich. The York born singer songwriter delivered a timeless and personal performance that soon became the talking point of the entire festival. Benjamins stripped down, honest and mellow style will perfectly accompany the whole feel of Boardmasters 2013.
