April hasn't been the busiest of months when it comes to top-quality albums but there are undoubtedly some hidden gems for you to unearth. From dance music to indie, we have some suggestions for what you might have missed this month that we can't recommend highly enough.

Wednesday- Rat Saw God

Wednesday are the type of band that can blow your mind on a whim. Capable of producing sudden blasts of energy and of slowly building up tension for minutes until it reaches a fever pitch. They signed to Secretly Canadian last year and haven't looked back since, if you want the volume turned up high and some amazing storytelling of Middle American characters then look no further.

Yaeji- With A Hammer

The debut album from New York artist Yaeji is one that is concerned with self-exploration. Within this introspective subject matter, you'll hear a scrapbook-style blend of genres from trip hop and rock to a darker House-influenced style. It's easily one of the most unique albums of the year so far.

Everything But The Girl- Fuse

Everything But The Girl returned this month with their first full-length album in 24 years. It was a welcome return and 'Fuse' feels alive with palpable electrical energy. The married duo work in perfect tandem to produce low-key floor-fillers that are concerned with how we can live our lives to the fullest. You can hear more about it in our track-by-track review here.

Blondshell- Blondshell

Blondshell is the more refined project of singer-songwriter Sabrina Teitelbaum, who initially released music under the moniker of Baum. What we get on her self-titled debut is an album packed full of personality as she channels Grunge and indie rock as the perfect soundscapes for her thoughts and feelings.

Jessie Ware- That Feels Good!

Jessie Ware's fifth album is a thrill from start to finish. You'll find yourself dropped into the sweaty humidity of late-night clubbing in a world where Ware emphasises that pleasure is paramount. A very horny album, there's a lot of humour and fun to be found here and it sees Ware cement her position as a provider of feel-good, euphoric pop that finds its roots in disco and House.
