Roots Manuva, Ghostpoet, Errors, Factory Floor and Willy Mason are amongst the first wave of acts to be announced for the cutting edge music and arts festival in Yorkshire.

See the full line-up so far here. What's more, a further 40+ acts - including Saturday's headliner - will be announced next month.
This three day, four night festival in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside is brought to you by a collection of UK tastemakers, bringing together the cream of some of the finest club and live music nights in Manchester, London, Leeds and Sheffield for one forward thinking weekend in Yorkshire.
Organisers of London-based festivals and events like Underage and Field Day are also involved, as is East London's Shacklewell Arms. Manchester tastemakers Now Wave are on board, as are London’s Eat Your Own Ears.
Beacons will be bringing together the cream of the cities finest club nights and gig venues for one weekend in Yorkshire.
Setting up camp in a brand new location for 2012, this year's festival will take place in the picturesque setting of the Funkirk Estate in Skipton this August.
The change in location came about after severe flooding caused last year's event to be cancelled. This year's setting promises to be flood free and even prettier that the previous site. Bring it on, we say!
Beacons Festival, Funkirk Estate, Skipton, 17th - 19th August 2012
