Having seemingly cropped up overnight, Bastille have risen through the ranks the last 12 months to become one of the most talked about new bands of the year. Helped along by support slots with Emili Sande and Two Door Cinema Club, as well as fortuitous plays on various popular TV shows, the soaring vocals and rich percussive beats of Dan Smith and his band have captured the heart of the indie nation - with tracks such as  'Overjoyed'  and 'Pompeii' enjoying plenty of radio support in recent months and the latter achieving number 2 slot in the charts.

Bastille are confirmed to appear at Liverpool Sound City on Thursday 2nd May.

Other acts announced today for Liverpool Sound City include On an On, The Tea Street Band, Temple, Duologue, Bird, By The Sea, All We Are, Broken Men, Afternaut, Nadine Carina, Concrete Knives, Mutiny On the Bounty, Silent Sleep, Sun Glitters and Ady Suleiman

These latest acts join the likes of Noah and the Whale, Reverand and the Makers, The Walkmen, Everything Everything, Dexys, Enter Shikari, Delphic and many more. See the full Liverpool Sound City line-up.
