Seasoned photographer and subculture expert Dean Chalkley’s new book BACK IN IBIZA: 1998-2003 is hitting shelves on Thursday 22nd May.
A widely celebrated chronicler of cultural movements across the past three decades, Chalkey has worked for the likes of Dazed, Mixmag, and NME, while also rubbing shoulders with artists like Oasis, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Paul Weller, and many more. His newest book comprises a vast archive of images collected from his time capturing club-goers in Ibiza at the turn of the millennium, featuring snapshots from Balearic hotspots like Space, Amnesia, Cafe del Mar, and the legendary Manumission nights at Privilege.
The book “offers a thrilling deep-dive through those images, illustrating the unfiltered and sometimes unhinged club scene from a world before Snapchat and TikTok reels. This unique collection is essential viewing for partygoers and clubbing fans, a joy to behold, and a nostalgic reminder of what a real party can look like.”
