Dutch record label Armada Music has paid tribute to one of dance music’s most iconic sub-genres with The Comeback of Hard House. The genre-focused documentary tracks the Dutch corner of the 90s hard house movement, exploring how the once-underground genre has stormed back into the spotlight.
The 10-minute documentary traces the hard house scene’s rise, fall, and pandemic-induced rebirth from the eyes of the Dutch scene, rooted firmly within the iconic Midtown Records catalogue. Expect interviews with pioneers and new faces alike, including Club Caviar (aka Mass Medium), Klubbheads, B.O.B. Ltd (aka Sax Brothers), Benwal, Maruwa, and more.
Armada Music celebrated the release with a special hard house night in Amsterdam on Thursday 5th June, which followed its screening with a lively set comprising the genre’s past and future stars.
