American-Senegalese R&B legend, Akon will play shows across the country this October, as part of his Konvict Kartel tour.
Rising to prominence with his 2004 hit 'Lonely', his first three studio albums, Trouble, Konvicted and Freedom, have been certified platinum, as was his number one single 'Smack That', which featured Eminem. Joining him will be special guests Tre Carter, OG Boo Dirty and Tone Tone.
Although a success in his own right, Akon has recorded music and collaborated with countless artists, including Obie Trice, T-Pain and 50 Cent and has toured with the likes of Usher and Rihanna.
Alongside his music career, he is involved with multiple charities and also runs Akon Lighting Africa, which brings solar power to over 600 million people living in rural parts of Africa.
Tickets for the Manchester show go on sale on Friday 4th August at 9am and Birmingham on Thursday 3rd August at 2pm.
