After our little summer soiree, to the attic rooftop, and then down to the baltic triangle where Derrick May took the roof of Constellations, we?re coming home, back to our spiritual venue, The Williamson Tunnels. Little known fact about the tunnels, you may or may not know that the tunnels are in fact named after the 19th Century philanthropist Joseph Williamson, who coincidentally, also happens to share his initials with our next booking... Philadelphia?s own Josh Wink.
With a career spanning over twenty years, Wink has certainly been around, from his early ?rave? days, to the milestone releases of Higher State of Consciousness and Don?t Laugh, right all the way through to most recent track Denial, Wink has constantly progressed, adapting styles whilst continuing to set dance floors alight worldwide with his acid-flecked house sound.
Wink as well as his own progressive career, runs one of the biggest and consistently brilliant labels in Ovum records, who have been responsible for releases by Aaron Carl, D?Julz, Kink, Levon Vincent and of course Josh Wink himself. Ovum records itself celebrated 20 years last year in fine form, with Ben Klock amongst others reworking Wink?s 1996 classic Are You There?
It?s safe to say, it?s some what of a coup, we?ve got such a luminary coming to play our intimate surroundings.
Space is of course limited, and you don?t need me to tell you, this will sell out.
All we need now is to wish August away!
Support comes from the resident 303 djs, who will take charge to ensure your night starts right.
