Another Season of Music kicks off at The Oakwood on the 21st of July and celebrates both the 3 year anniversry of the pubs revival and new management under the Brothers Tom & Rick Lee but also the 3rd year that Redroom began.

From Now until Christmas there are lots of old favourites returning to the pub to help the celebrations and some extreemly predigious new friends coming to please the crowds. starting off the Season on the 21st with real style is Manchesters Blind Atlas with a new album in the bag it should be a hell of a gig -

Blind Atlas have become familiar faces on the Manchester circuit, notching up headline slots at some of the most iconic venues in the city, as well as supporting the likes of Liam Frost, Lucy Wainwright Roche and Detroits Deadstring Brothers. One point fans of the band will attest to is their ability to expertly combine the traditional melancholy of the classic Northern sound with the boozy soul of American alternative country, think Ryan Adams fronting The Black Keys, or perhaps Fleet Foxes with a Led Zeppelin fixation and clearly all designed to soundtrack long, whisky-addled nights of anguished soul-searching. Like their name would suggest, Blind Atlas are something of a contradiction. Described in the past as sounding like everyone from Doves to Led Zep to The Black Keys, their listeners cant help but stick a label on them.
