Creamfields Lineup 2022: Ten artists you need to see at this years event

Just over two weeks remain until one of the world's largest electronic music festivals, Creamfields get's fully underway. The bespoke, four-day event, which celebrates it's milestone 25th anniversary over the August Bank Holiday weekend this year, has become a must-attend experience for dance enthusiasts, attracting audiences from continents right across the globe.

Regularly flaunting jaw-dropping lineups, stocked with various acclaimed names representing techno, house, drum n bass and more, and always delivering breathtaking stage production on a scale the likes of which simply cannot be found anywhere else, it's little wonder why this Northern summer soiree sells out year after year. 

Ahead of the forthcoming spectacle amidst the green fields of Cheshire, we wanted to take a moment to pour over this year's bill, sharing our opinion and recommending just ten of the acts we think you ought to make a B-line to see should you be fortunate enough to have tickets to get in.

Fatboy Slim

The funk-soul brother, Norman Cook AKA Fatboy Slim brings his massive big beat sound to his own 'Fatboy Slim Loves...' stage on Sunday 28th August. Appearing alongside the likes of up-and-comer, Sarah Story, South African selector, Black Coffee and film star turned DJ, Idris Elba, Cook will supply fans with his customary high-energy set, teeming with a multitude of massive hit records. Get ready to see the weekend out, moving your body to anthems such as 'Rockafeller Skank', 'Right Here, right Now' and 'Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat'.

Eats Everything

Versatile DJ and producer of numerous dance floor weapons, Eats Everything is the critically acclaimed talent who's knowledge in the ways of working a room ensures not one of his sets goes without those big party vibes. An in-demand name on the circuit, championed by the likes of Jamie Jones, Carl Cox and friend and collaborator, Fatboy Slim, he's almost always on the move taking in dates around the world. Appearances for Elrow, Fabric London, and at Ibiza super clubs, Eden, Hi Ibiza and Amnesia all feature on his busy schedule this year, in addition to his upcoming appearance on the Aura Stage at Creamfields on Sunday 28th August.

Amelie Lens

On par with luxury chocolate and super strong beer, Amelie Lens is unquestionably one of Belgium's finest exports. A purveyor of high-quality, undiluted techno, she's rightly earned something of a reputation for herself during her 6 years as a leading name in the genre, delivering powerful hours-long sets to her many adoring fans. She's so admired for what she does in fact, that its been reported she has a hardcore set of super-fans who travel around the world together watching her every set, buying and sending her gifts. Any DJ whose talents acquire followers on this level is worth a watch in our opinion.

Eric Prydz

The Swedish superstar has come along way since breaking back in 2004 with his smash hit, 'Call On Me'. Almost two decades later, he's released under three hugely successful aliases - Pryda, Cirez D and Eric Prydz - issuing a massive back catalogue of impeccably produced dance records and conceptualised one of the best live shows on the electronic scene at present - the mind-bending HOLO show.

So, what can be expected from the Eric Prydz HOLO show at Creamfields this year? Next-level 3D FX, holographic and Ai technology pushing the very limits of what can be delivered visually on stage, paired with top tier progressive house music on one of the festivals biggest arenas - the epic Steel Yard. Not to be missed.

Ewan McVicar

Man of the moment, Ayrshire's very own Ewan McVicar is set to take on the 50 metre super structure known as the Steel Yard on Sunday 28th August. Sharing the stage with the likes of Camelphat, Denis Sulta and Russian powerhouse, Anfisa Letyago, through the course of the day, the 28-year-old DJ will prove exactly why he is deserving of a spot on the colossal platform at the flagship event, showcasing his mastered skills behind the decks, dropping huge tracks the likes of his recent single, 'Heathers Park' and his break out anthem, 'Tell Me Something Good'.

A performance that will surely go down in Creamfields history as the burgeoning superstar continues on his journey to dance immortality.

Seth Troxler

The moustachioed dance wizard, one of the most outspoken and controversial figures in electronic music (lookup 'Seth Troxler Camelphat beef'), is set to bring down the roof of the Solid Grooves stage in just 18 days time. Regarded by many as one of the top contemporary DJ names, he's performed to thousands, if not millions of people around the world throughout his career, commandeering stages at festivals the likes of Glastonbury and Coachella, as well as the fabled nightclubs of Ibiza, London and Berlin, where he currently resides.

For a truly unique experience at this year's Creamfields, you need to go and see Seth.

Peggy Gou

Innovator of the 'K-House' sound, Korean-born superstar Peggy Gou will arrive in Cheshire on the Bank Holiday weekend, armed with a specially curated setlist for the Creamfields crowds. The cultivated producer and sought-after selector, whose life has quite literally revolved around music - from her time working in record shops to performing at Berlin's Berghain - is renowned for her captivating live performances and flamboyant style behind the decks. Encountering the same level of energy from audiences as you'd expect some of the worlds biggest pop star names to receive, you'll find an electric atmosphere at Peggy Gou's live performance on the Aura stage at the end of the month.

Jamie Jones

The Hot Creations label boss has previously taken the DJ Award for Best Deep House and Best Tech Master, so you can pretty much be certain of a superior set, especially at the UK's leading electronic event. For those of you who might never have heard the Welsh producers work before, and that won't be many of you, we suggest listening through his catalogue of first-rate releases. Big hitting tracks 'My Paradise' and recent single 'Pilva' should get you in the mood for his upcoming Creamfields set, just as much as his remixes of Disclosure's 'Latch' and Bob Moses 'Enough To Believe'. Dust down those dance moves. You're going to need them.

Anfisa Letyago

An exciting techno talent whose name is on everyones lips right now, Anfisa Letyago has snatched the attention of basically every techno fan, DJ and respected musical media outlet in the past few years (Lookup her recent cover feature with Mixmag). Russian-born and Naples-adopted, she's regarded a big deal amongst the wild Italian dance contingent, having delighted audiences there for over a decade. Only recently coming to prominence on the international stage, she's now taking bookings all over the world, performing at events the likes of Terminal V, Movement Festival and, of course, Creamfields. Skream

Early pioneer of dubstep turned producer of unrelenting disco, house, techno and everything in between, Skream, real name Oliver Jones, should need very little introduction.

Considered broadly one of the UK's best selectors, his skill behind the decks have earned him slots on basically every big stage there is. Still as enthusiastic about music and his trade as he was at the very beginning of his career, his productions and live sets seem to naturally resonate with audiences, no matter where in the world he performs. Consistently delivering an exceptional live show, it would be damn right rude of us not to include Skream on our top ten list.
