Manchester Made Me Funky

Manchester Made Me Funky is all about celebrating and keeping alive Manchester’s funky house scene which emerged in the late 90’s and carried on until the late 00’s. Funky house was a genre that emerged as an alternative to hard house and pop. For many it took the rave scene to the next level and became a key part of Manchester’s clubbing scene for over a decade.

To keep that spirit alive this year Manchester Made Me Funky have organised a huge carnival event that is set to be a spectacular show. House divas and the very best of Manchester’s local DJ’s are amassing a party that could last as long as 16 hours with an afterparty going on until the early hours. It’s all in celebration of a key chapter of the city’s clubbing history and they are going all out with their carnival floats, pageantry and unrivalled production.
