As well as hosting Frank Ocean's one and only London festival show of the summer, Lovebox 2017 is also set to deliver much, much more, once again delivering a bill so complete with he name acts, you wonder where else in the UK you could see such acts.
With Fabric and Noisey both lending their names to stages, you know the acts playing them are going to be bringing the freshest, most contemporary sounds to Victoria Park, and this is true across the entire Lovebox line up.
The smorgasbord of electronic sounds also features the likes of Solange, Ricardo Villalobos, Kano and many more, so we've taken the time to present the top five acts that we're predicting to deliver the goods at Lovebox 2017.
As well as delivering arguably one of the finest Boiler Room sets you're ever likely to witness, the Hatian born Canadian bred producer is 99.9% guaranteed to deliver good times for all as he takes to the Noisey stage on the opening day of Lovebox. Last his debut studio album was released to critical acclaim, featuring in every single 'best albums of 2016' list on account of its powerful funk grooves and pop sensibilities, brought to life by collaborations with Anderson .Paak, Little Dragon, Craig David and a handful of others.
The Australian edit king is nothing short of impeccable, reworking tracks from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, The Jacksons, Marvin Gaye, and heaps more and lands on the Cornona Sunsets stage on Sunday night to delve into his mighty record collection and endless edits. His latest ventures have seen him pay homage to Prince with shows in Manchester, Melbourne and Paris dedicated to the back catalogue of the Purple One. With this still fresh in LTNG's mind, expect to party like it's 1999 as the Aussie selector ramps up the tempo ahead of Norman Jay MBE's headline slot on the same stage.
An artist that needs little to no introduction, one of the most talked-about enigmas in music, Frank Ocean headlines Lovebox on the Friday. His highly anticipated second album Blonde was independently released in August last year to widespread, if not complete, critical acclaim, as well as commercial success. Ocean's stripped back, soul-tinged R&B lends itself perfectly to the sunset slot.
One of a small handful of appearances across the UK this year, DJ Jazzy Jeff will take to the Corona Sunsets stage on the Friday. Although well known for his role as Carlton Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Jazzy Jeff is far from a novelty act. An accomplished R&B producer, and a DJ even since before his Bel-Air days, he has released an impressive back catalogue of solo material and picked up three Grammy Awards. His true love for music consistently shining through, we are expecting an eclectic set filled with hip-hop bangers.
It would be foolish not to witness Miss Knowles in action, less than a month after a triumphant Saturday night slot on the West Holts Stage at Glastonbury. Her vocals are undeniable, as is her fierce stage presence and lyrical prowess. Her musical output spans much further than 2016's much lauded A Seat At The Table, with Solange's debut Solo Star dropping some 15 years ago, however last year's release really caught the world's attention. Glasonbury aside, UK festival dates are few and far between for Solange so her headline sot on the Noisey stage on the opening night of Lovebox will be simply unmissable.
