Now in its third season, Afterlife has been making big waves in the underground techno scene since its appearance in 2016 and return in 2017. The Italian duo Tale Of Us, at the helm of curating the nights for our aural pleasure, is being true to their concept's name and now returning to where it all started under its current guise Hï Ibiza.
Afterlife showcases a collection of artists from Life and Death, Innervisions and Dystopian. Last summer, they rocketed us into space with the kind of sensory overload that brought us all to our knees.
This season, the mesmerising beats and hypnotic rhythms are back. Taking us on a journey to otherworldly dimensions, we have the likes of Adriatique, Âme, Antigone, Ben Klock, Denis Horvat, Dixon, Jamie Jones, Jon Hopkins, Kiasmos, KiNK, Konstantin, Maceo Plex, Mano Le Tough, Marcel Dettmann, Modeselektor, Mind Against, Nina Kraviz, Patrice Bäumel, Robert Hood, Rødhåd, Thugfucker, Vaal and, of course, Tale Of Us.
We will also be at the mercy of spellbinding live performances from Agents Of Time, Amandra, Answer Code Request, Antonio Riuscito, Ateq, Bjarki, FJAAK, Recondite, Mathew Jonson, Monoloc, Mathew Jonson, Ovend, Schwarzmann, Sebastian Mullaert, Stephan Bodzin, Vril and Woo York.
Also on the roster, we have Aether, Alex.Do, Barnt, Ben UFO, Etapp Kyle, Fideles, Hunter/Game,Gerd Janson, Kevin De Vries, Kobosil, Locked Groove, Mathame, Roland Appel, Roman Flügel, Ryan Elliott, Scuba, Somne, Tijana T, Tone Depth and Trikk.
Of course, the hosts Tale Of Us will be at the decks every week, too. Like the previous seasons, this one promises to go down as one for the books, returning to its birthplace while getting even more adventurous.
With tailor-made production, bespoke lighting, installations and visuals, the residency includes renowned visual artist Quayola. Afterlife lands on the White Isle on 28 June with the season running for 15 weeks until 4 October 2018.
It's fair to say that any underground electronic music lover will be securing some of this action while on the island in the summer of 2018.
