About

MNB Scotland CIC is a lively, devoted makers and craft markets community on a mission to champion small businesses across Scotland’s stunning landscapes. From bustling cities to cosy corners of the Highlands, we’re here to help local enterprises grow, thrive, and shine. Think of us as your go-to partner for navigating the twists and turns of marketing and branding, with a generous splash of community spirit. Whether you’re a first-time maker or a seasoned small biz pro, we’re all about giving you the know-how, resources, and savvy strategies to flourish in a competitive world.

We organise four joyful, handpicked craft markets each year, using all stall fees to cover venue hire and digital marketing to get the word out far and wide. No profit, no pressure, just good vibes and great footfall.

Think of MNB Scotland as your hype team, your sounding board, and your extended business fam. We're all about helping creatives, makers, and small biz dreamers grow their brand, find their people, and feel supported every step of the way.

We celebrate local art, crafts, makes, and bakes, while creating a friendly, inclusive space where everyone feels welcome. Because here at MNB, success isn't a solo act, it's a community thing.

Come for the markets, stay for the love.

FAQs

MNB was established in 2022 and it has been created with a sole aim of providing free marketing support to small businesses in Scotland. We support small businesses, artisans, makers, bakers, local shops, restaurants, cafes, you name it! We offer free marketing support, logo design, social media support services to our members.

If you are a small business based in anywhere in Scotland and are interested in becoming a member, drop us an email or fill the contact form to introduce yourself. You will go through a vetting process, and if successful you will become a member. Your online shop or relative social links will be added to our makers directory, and you will be offered an introduction post on our Blog and IG account. Membership is totally free of charge. MNB Membership (aka MnB Fam) rules are simple, be kind, be nice, and be supportive! We maintain a secure and welcoming community, and we have zero tolerance for any form of sexism, racism, homophobia, or any offensive behaviour. Our aim is to provide a warm and inclusive environment for our talented artisans, and it is imperative for us to collectively ensure this in the most effective manner.

We have been organising pop-up markets since July 2023. After different venues we had our events in, this year we found our new home at the Leith Arches in Edinburgh. We organise 4 markets a year. If you are interested in to be a stallholder you can subscribe to our blog to be notified about the upcoming events. You can also check our Events page for more information or reach out via email.

After all applications received via shared form we check each and every one of the small businesses. Everyone is vetted to ensure that their products are 100% handmade. We also curate all our markets, therefore we need to make sure to select certain amount of product types per market to give everyone an equal opportunity. Being a member of MNB doesn't grant you a direct access to each applied market. Our market venue can only accommodate 16 - 17 stalls per event, therefore we try to cycle our stallholders as much as we can. We also have a bigger venue (OOTB Drill Hall) for annual special events which we can host max. 28 stalls.

Unfortunately no! MNB Scotland markets are purely established to support 100% handmade. All our artisans design, handcraft, or small batch produce their products. We do not accept resellers, bulk bought product traders, as well as trademark branded reproductions. If you are a local business we are happy to have you as a member, however only 100% handmade product stalls can attend to our markets.
