Dj and Gabrielle very good. Terrible organisation with food, not enough food  outlets so queued for an eternity (1hr).

Review of SOULTASIA - Kent 2023

i love the atmosphere and  Guest Djs . Uncle funk Disco inferno were good as well as Kenny Thomas and Gabrielle.

Unfortunately I did  purchase the early bird ticket way back in November 2022. On the pretense of seeing my favorite bands Heatwave and the Real Thing.
But was very disappointed when The real thing was only represented by 1 member who sang 2 of their hits Karaoke style  for 10 mins approx. I appreciate he said that his other member was taken ill the night before and couldn't walk but what happened to the rest of the band .Plus there was no mention of this incident on their website later.
Plus I was expecting Heatwave to have a LIVE BAND too no just backing recorded tracks.
I do expect when going to a concert to see and listen to a LIVE BAND.
otherwise could just be PA's from Artists with DJ playing the tracks as backing with no vocals.

i also thought that the pricing for Drinks and food was overpriced into todays climate. With no option to increase a spirit to a double for a small extra cost as like most other venues and pubs do without having to pay double as you don't need the mixer again.

Was really disappointed with only 1 stage of music. Having paid extra for V.I.P we got closer to the stage, however, the intervals between acts was excessively long. Kenny Thomas was Outstanding but missed a large part of his show due to the extremely long queues for the 3 remaining food vendors with the Jerk Chicken sold out by 7:25pm. 
Limited VIP experience, long bar queue, nice toilet. Wouldn’t rebook again next year compared to other Soul festival events we’ve been to. 
Mote Park was disappointing

I feel the even was better than last year and the organisers listened to customer feedback and sorted the issues out. 

Wasn't able to attend due to death in family but I do promote these events on my showand have attended a few of them

Fabulous acts, great atmosphere, very well organised, friendly staff BUT bar prices (as can't bring own drinks in and yes I get it is a way for you to make money) are extremely over priced!!!
£6 for a c**e £9 for a wine spritzer!! Come one, excessive! Just bring the drink prices down...
We all struggling with the cost of living prices, public & businesses alike but us public   are in your eyes, example:  expected to be there say 7hrs, 5 drinks @ £9 = £45!!! We wanted to forget about things & let our hair down, which we did but couldn't afford many drinks due to excessive prices. A good job on everything else so thank you...

Great night out, excellent dj and music. Good choice of foods and the free water refill was much needed.
Only fault was the unclear  advice re parking on the website, and then zero directions to the parking  areas.

Great event great vibe. Just disappointed with the headline act and how little effort they appeared to give the event- rest 100/100 

Had an amazing day!! Well organised,host brilliant,acts amazing, staff were helpful and friendly. Crowd was brilliant. Definitely booking for next year with a bigger group of friends. Cant wait!! Xx

2nd year and once again it was an excellent event. If you love soul classics then you must go.

Brilliant event for people of a certain age who were all taken back to their late teens/early twenties singing and dancing along in unison.  The DJ’s also were brilliant with the crowd and songs they played.

Fabulous event! Amazing music played by all the DJs. Sensational artists, especially Heatwave, Kenny Thomas & Gabrielle. Loved the venue, so well organised. Brilliant atmosphere, good vibes all night. Met some lovely people. I'm looking forward to next year!

Brilliant event, fabulous line up especially Heatwave & Kenny Thomas who were sensational.
The event was so well organised, loved this year's set up with the extensive bar area which minimised the queuing for drinks.
Thank you Soultasia Maidstone can't wait for next year.
