Reviews of Head For The Hills
Head for the Hills is an award winning weekend featuring over fifty amazing artists and musicians including international acts, emerging UK talent and local heroes.
The beautiful town of Ramsbottom comes alive with an eclectic mix of music and great arts and family shows to showcase the very best in Lancashire hospitality.
Previously called Ramsbottom Festival, the event was founded in 2011 and is now in its eighth year.
Disabled Access Information
Head for the Hills works with Attitude Is Everything to improve accessibility for deaf and disabled customers.
Callum Hogg, from All In Access, is coordinating the access provision again for 2018. If you have any questions, comments or concerns which aren’t answered below, please do get in touch with him at firstname.lastname@example.org
ACCESS TO SITE
The festival is held at Ramsbottom Cricket Club and is predominantly an outdoor event, with some marquee and clubhouse stages.
There is a single-track road which leads to the Box Office and Wristband Exchange. From Wristband Exchange there is level access to the festival site. There are a number of pathways around the site and most of the activity takes place on the cricket ground grass. The grass is kept very short and the ground is firm and flat.

The main stage has a ramped 4m x 2.5m viewing platform, which will be stewarded at all times.
There are accessible toilets on site, situated a short distance from the main stage. Toilets are clearly marked on the sitemap in the festival programme.
Assistance Dogs are welcome on site and an area for drinking and toileting is provided.
There will be general warning signs around the main stage area should strobe lighting be used. However, there will not be warning directly before a period of strobe lighting from the bands and acts.
