I was shocked by the level of disappointment I had for Jazz on the Wick festival as the organisation and the delivery of information to the tick*t holders was so bad. The queues for venues that need to be ID checked made me miss the one performance that I was really excited for on the whole roster. As well as that the venues that were actually open to the public as well as tick*t holders made me really question what the actual point of having a tick*t was? There were people able to just walk into most of the stages without showing any tick*t or proof of being a festival goer, so what exactly was I paying for?

Review of Jazz on Wick 2025

The set times on Instagram were wrong. We would turn up to venues and no one was playing. A lot of DJs and almost non-existent Jazz. For an event called 'Jazz on the Wick' it was just a music event. The crowd in Colour Factory was close to being a bit dangerous. Too many peopel and the only venue that seemed to have jazz.

I found the event confusing and hard to find the juice, especially without a phone.

The music barely felt like Jazz most of the times.
