Goatfest 2026

Goatfest takes place Friday 28th - Sunday 30th August 2026.

Goatfest is held at The Great Field, Bury Lane, Codicote SG4 8XY.

Goatfest are very proud to be a family-friendly festival. However, there are a few things to note before your family arrives:

• Goatfest don’t allow anyone under 18 to be at the festival over the weekend without an adult of 18 or over. This applies to the campsite too.
• Children under 13 years old must be accompanied on site by an adult aged 18 or over at all times.
• All under-18s need to be accompanied by an over-18 through the entry and exit gates to the festival site. 
• ID checks will be carried out at the entry gates for anyone who looks under 21 years old.
• Challenge 25 operates on all bars. If you have purchased an adult ticket and are fortunate enough to look under the age of 25, you will be required to provide ID that proves your age. If you cannot provide ID that is valid and in date, you will be refused service.

You can come and go from Goatfest throughout the weekend, but the last re-entry to the festival is 9pm each day. This applies to existing wristband holders, campers, and also new ticket buyers. If you leave the festival and try to re-enter after 9pm (including from the campsite) you could be refused entry. This is for the safety of you and our other festival goers.

Goatfest will have a range of fully licensed bars where you can purchase drinks throughout the event from beers to Aperol spritz to wine to boozy slushies - you name it, they've got it.

There will also be a range of exciting local street food vendors keeping you fed all weekend - from buttermilk fried chicken and burgers to pizzas and curry, chips, and ice cream. Prepare to eat and drink until you are seriously full up! Most vendors will have a vegetarian or vegan option available and are also able to cater to specific dietary requirements and allergies. All vendors accept card, and some will also accept cash. 

No outside alcohol can be brought onto the Goatfest site. They have a fully licensed bar available throughout the event. Their security team may confiscate any outside alcohol found on site or entering the site during the festival weekend.

Yes camping chairs and picnic blankets are absolutely fine, but please do not bring anything that could obscure other festival goers' view - ie. A gazebo or windbreak. Anything left unattended is done so at your own risk. Goatfest reserve the right to ask you to remove chairs and other items if they are proving a safety risk or if they need to clear floor space at the event.

Unfortunately the Goatfest site is a dog-free zone, apart from registered service dogs, sorry pooches! This also applies to the campsite.

Goatfest is in a rural area and the signal isn't always the best, so we would advise you to bring some cash with you as a back-up. All bars accept cash and card, and most food and craft vendors accept both cash and cards.

The nearest cashpoint is in Codicote village shop, Mace stores. This is on Codicote high street - about a 10-15 minute walk from the festival. Security will allow you re-entry to the festival if you need to withdraw cash. 

Children aged 3 and under don't need to pay for an entry ticket for Goatfest but must be with a responsible adult at all times who has a ticket. Children aged 4-12 will need a Child Entry Ticket. 

Goatfest will likely sell out in advance so we'd recommend booking your tickets in advance.

A ticket to the festival VIP area includes:

The VIP area is only accessible within the festival site - not the campsite.

Festival access can be made on foot via an entrance in the Codicote sports field driveway or by car via an entrance on Bury Lane, Codicote, Herts, SG4 8XY

The best mainline station near Goatfest is Stevenage - with regular fast trains to London, Peterborough, and Cambridge, and a taxi rank outside, we'd suggest travelling here instead of Welwyn or Knebworth. Stevenage is about five miles away from the festival site. There is a taxi rank outside Stevenage Station on Lytton Way and Uber is also readily available in the area.

No towed vehicles, cars, or caravans are allowed on site at Goatfest. This includes trailer tents.

The Goatfest campsite will open at 3pm on Friday 22nd August. Please do not arrive before this time as you will not be allowed to park onsite or access the camping area.

Campers in tents must park their car in the allocated car park (there is an additional £10 charge for car parking per car for the weekend if you have a valid camping pass) and do the short walk with their tents and equipment onto the site. This is for safety reasons. You will not be allowed to drive to your tent under any circumstances. Campervans will of course be permitted to drive to their pitch - but this will be via a different gate. You will be directed to the relevant area once you arrive on site.

Goatfest Camping tickets & campervan tickets are per person.

To camp in a tent, you need to buy a camping pass for every adult in your group, and for children aged 4 and over in advance.

To camp in a campervan, you need to buy a campervan pass for every adult in your group, and for children aged 4 and over in advance.

All adults and children aged 4 and over, regardless of the duration of their stay, will need to purchase a weekend camping ticket. No one will be allowed into the campsite without a ticket.

Under 18s are welcome to camp, providing they have the appropriate ticket and they are staying with a responsible adult, over 18 years of age.

The camping spaces are allocated on arrival so we would recommend arriving early (from 3pm on Friday) to select the spot you'd prefer.

Sorry pooches, Goatfest are not allowed dogs or any other animals on the campsite or festival site apart from registered assistance animals. If you have an assistance animal please contact hello@goatfestuk.com to arrange access before the event. 

No there will be no pre-allocated camping pitches at Goatfest.

There will be enough space for everyone who has pre-booked camping or a campervan pitch. But pitches will all be allocated on a first come first serve basis so we recommend arriving between 3pm and 5pm on Friday to secure your perfect spot!

Goatfest would ask you only to bring a tent to fit your needs. Ideally a maximum of a four-man tent, and they ask that no tents larger than a eight-man are pitched on site. If you have a larger tent and would like to camp, please contact them to discuss at hello@goatfestuk.com.

Showers and toilets are available for all campers at Goatfest. This is a huge luxury compared to other festivals this size. We can't guarantee there won't be queues for these facilities. Please be patient and nice to the Goatfest staff who will do their best to maintain and keep them tidy for the weekend.

There will be a caterer and coffee van in the main camping area selling breakfast, tea and coffee from approximately 8am until 11am on Saturday & Sunday.

Drinking water will also be available throughout your stay - so please bring a reusable water bottle. There will also be a toilet allocated for waste disposal for campervans.

There will be no electricity available for camping pitches or electricity hook-ups for campervans, so things like torches and night lights will be worth bringing.

Goatfest are quite a relaxed bunch in general, but there are a few important rules that are in place for your safety and the safety of their team:

• BBQs and campfires of any kind are forbidden on the campsite. As are generators, gas bottles and gas cannisters of any kind.
• The camping area will be marshalled by security guards 24 hours a day for your safety and security but your belongings are left in your tent or campervan at your own risk.
• You can bring your own alcohol onto the campsite if you are over 18. But please, no glass bottles. You will not be allowed to bring your alcohol into the festival site.
• Goatfest is a family-friendly festival. The campsite and festival site are strictly drug-free zones. Anyone caught handling or using illegal drugs will be asked to leave the site immediately and will not be allowed access back into the festival. This includes Nitrous Oxide and all other products banned under the New Psychoactive Substances Act 2016. 
• Anyone making a nuisance of themselves on the campsite and disrupting guests will also be asked to leave and will have their festival wristband removed.

There will be a search operation at the gates at Goatfest, and you should expect to be searched on entry. This may include vehicle searches for some vehicles at the discretion of Security, clothing/bag searches at the gates, onsite or when leaving. 

Prescribed medication should be declared before entering the search and entry points. Medicine should be in its original packaging and the ticket holder must bring a copy of their prescription in their own name.

Additional prohibited items include knives (including locking knives); fireworks; explosives; BBQs; smoke and gas canisters; air horns; flares; weapons or potential weapons; laser devices; unofficial drones and UAVs; sky lanterns; paraffin lamps, candles, generators, unofficial hi-visibility clothing/tabards.

This list is not exhaustive, the Organiser reserves the right to confiscate any potentially harmful items or substances at their discretion. Please be aware that work tools, ladders, 2-way radios etc can be deemed a potential security breach and they reserve the right to confiscate such items on entry to the car parks or event gates. Please check your vehicle before packing and remove any items that can present a safety or security risk.  

At the search and entry point, ticket holders will be given the opportunity to give up (AMNESTY) prohibited items in their possession prior to the search. Once passed the Amnesty area, any person found in possession of prohibited items may be refused entry or evicted and will have the item confiscated, and not returned.  

There is accessible parking available at Goatfest (this cannot be booked in advance) and a dedicated accessible toilet on the festival site, next to the first-aid tent.

If you are a carer, you will be given access to the festival for free provided you are accompanying a paying guest who has a pre-booked ticket. You do not need to book your carer's ticket in advance or notify the Goatfest team in advance of the event - but the person you are accompanying must have a pre-booked ticket. Please see the box office team at the front gate on arrival at Goatfest and they will arrange access to the festival for you.
