The 48 hour festival challenge

Never ones to shy away from a challenge, this Bank Holiday, Skiddle have set themselves the ultimate test. We want to visit 10 music festivals in 48 hours to raise £150,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support. Sound crazy? That's because it is.

No one has ever attempted anything like this before.

From metal, to indie to funk and soul; our plan is to start our epic journey on Friday evening. We'll be making our way up and down the country, racing the clock to our final destination on Sunday evening just before the headline act begins.

Let's face it. It's not going to be easy.

The Festivals

The Festivals

But we don't just want to rock up, pitch a tent and have a boogie. We'll be visiting some of the UK's most eclectic and entertaining music festivals, so we want to make sure we make the most of it. We'll be making our mark at every festival by blagging and begging selfies with headlines, main stage appearances and media interviews galore.

Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat for video updates. There will be laughter. There will be tears. There will be tantrums. There will be beer.

We wouldn't be doing this challenge if it wasn't for MacMillan Cancer Support. They mean a lot to us. Donate and read more about why our partnership is so important.

Getting #silly

This Festival Challenge is the start of something bigger for Skiddle. We want to make silliness like this part of who we are. That's why we're launching our Book of Silly Records.

This year, we raised £100,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support, but we know we have more to give. The Festival Challenge is the start of that. But we can't do it alone. We want to encourage everyone to take part in their own Silly Records. The more ridiculous the better.

The Stats

  • 16 hours driving

  • 900 miles covered

  • 2 hours maximum at every festival

  • 2-3 hours' sleep a night (if we're lucky!)
