Following official advice, we’re gutted to announce that Outlook Origins is unable to take place this year. This is following the cancellation of the Garden Resort’s 2020 festival programme as a result of the continued impact of COVID-19, and the event will be rescheduled to 2021.
We fully support any decision taken to avoid the additional spread of the virus and we are very grateful to health organisations across the globe keeping up the good fight on our behalf.
This will be the first year in over a decade that Outlook Festival has not taken place and while it’s been a frustrating and saddening decision to make, it’s our responsibility to take your safety - and the safety of everyone involved in the event - as our main consideration.
Rest assured; that Outlook Festival will be back. We have set the dates on the same weekend in the summer calendar (29th July – 2nd August 2021).
We know you’ll have lots of burning questions right now and we would love to ask for your patience in the coming weeks while we regroup and pull together all the information needed. We will then be contacting everyone by email.
If you booked on-site or off-site accommodation through The Garden, look out for an email from their accommodation team very soon when they will provide further information on the process. However we would ask you to please hold on confirming any changes to your booking until we have everything signed off.
It’s never been more important to support our scene; the artists, labels, promoters, production staff, technicians and everyone involved in making these events so memorable... Your ongoing support means so much to us and everyone in the industry.
This is a new struggle to overcome and even though the virus is keeping us apart for now, the music will always bring us back together.
Keep safe and keep locked in.
We send our love and eternal thanks to all those on the frontline.
"After 10 incredible years at Fort Punta Christo, Outlook Festival is delighted to reveal something brand new for 2021; Outlook Origins.
Outlook Origins sees us return to the Dalmatian coast, the region where we first started our Croatian festival adventure. In addition to the change in location, Outlook Origins will take place one month earlier: from 29th July to 2nd August.
Over the last decade, the festival has grown to incredible heights and welcomed thousands of people annually from across the globe.
Throughout the course of this journey, we’ve really loved building such a worldwide community. However, in recent years, we’ve wanted to revisit the original vibe, ethos and size that made the event so special.
Outlook Origins will take things back to where it all began for the festival and celebrate the artists, labels, parties and genres that for us have been integral in driving sound system culture forward.
Outlook Origins will be music for the heads. For 2021, the festival line-up is being carefully curated by a handful of the scene’s most influential artists and tastemakers. Linchpins in their respective genres, these curators will represent the key foundations that made Outlook Festival what is is: Dubstep, Dub & Reggae, Drum & Bass and Jungle and Grime. A festival line-up with our heroes leading the way; working side by side to ensure the sounds remain underground.
We’ll be announcing the festival curators in the coming weeks."

The nearest airport to the festival site is Pula (20 mins), followed by Trieste (1.5 hr), Ljubljana (2.2 hr), Zagreb (3 hr), and Venice (4hr). These times are for travelling by car along the highway from the city center – please note our transfers take longer than this due to the slower rate of speed, passport checks at border crossings and location of airports.
Check our airport transfers list to book a flight that coincides with direct coaches to the festival; if your flight doesn’t quite match up why not get a spot of sightseeing done en route?
Prices vary massively, don’t be put off if the first ones you see are expensive, there are cheap ways to travel out there – by flying to an airport slightly further afield you can get a much better deal and enjoy some scenery on the drive down to the festival site.
For those flying to the festival there will be transfers to the festival site organised from all the following airports: Pula, Trieste, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Venice Treviso and Venice Marco-Polo.
Over the past few years we’ve seen an increase on the number of overseas attendees driving to Outlook, either as their main destination or as one stop on a circuit around Europe.
If you are driving to the Festival, why not add any spare seats you might have on goCarShare? It connects you with people looking for a ride who contribute to the journey costs.
It uses Facebook, so you can see if you share friends or like similar music. You might meet some great people before you even get to the festival, and it’s a green and cost effective way to travel across Europe, so please add your journey here…
Directions from Vodnjan
When leaving Vodnjan head south toward Pula, after 4km turn right at signposts for Fažana. After 2 km you will reach the exit for the Brioni (ex Puntižela) Campsite. Turn left here and drive another 1.5 km until you reach the entrance to the Campsite.
Directions from Pula (Peličeti junction)
At the Peličeti exit turn right in the direction of Pula, and continue driving (along the ring-road, you will pass three cross-roads with traffic lights) approx. 4 km (to INA petrol station Veli Vrh). Then turn left and continue driving in the direction of Fažana. After 2 km you will reach the exit for Camp Brioni (ex Puntižela). Turn left, drive 1.5 km and you will come to the Campsite entrance.
There is a free car park a short walk from the Festival Campsite, but as it’s public we cannot guarantee security and we advise you not to leave any valuables in your vehicle – there are safe lockers within the Festival site that you can use.
If you are not driving to the Festival you might enjoy renting a car from a nearby airport and exploring Croatia’s natural beauty and tourist attractions, when you’re not too busy raving up at the fort or sunbathing obviously.
You can travel by Eurostar to Northern Italy and then take a train through Slovenia into Croatia, although please note that buses in Croatia tend to be quicker than trains.
The best websites for inter-city buses are either Autotrans or Autobusnikolodvor (click on the bus line (eg. Split-Pula) to see the full route and timings.
Once on-site there are three main bus routes that may be of use, please note Puntižela or Camp Brioni is the stop for the Festival and Campsite.
Local bus timetables will be available soon.
If arriving outside of transfer times a taxi will be the easiest way to get from Pula Airport to the site. Taxis can be hailed outside stations and airports very easily or from taxi ranks in Pula.
There is a dedicated taxi rank just outside the Campsite entrance.
All legal taxis have meters, and must use them by law. You should ALWAYS ask for a receipt before getting into a taxi, it is a legal requirement. If you do not ask for one, or the taxi driver does not give you one you could both be liable for a fine from inspectors.
We will release guide prices for popular routes closer to the summer.
If you feel a taxi has overcharged you or they will not issue you with a receipt, please report it to our staff at the drop-off point. We will be monitoring all taxis with access to this restricted area, and will revoke access for any taxi that does not act in our customers’ best interests.
Watch out for illegal taxis – although they may be cheaper they are not regulated by the city and you might be putting yourself in unnecessary danger. If you have a complaint about an illegal taxi you will need to talk to the police.
