Beacon Festival has been postponed to 2022. Please see the statement from the event organisers below:
"To our Beacon Community
Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by this pandemic and although 2021 looks brighter towards the end of this year, the current restrictions in place are making planning work difficult for all of us. Live music is no different, and as the Volunteers of the Beacon Festival wade through all the necessary additional processes and restrictions, we are struggling to create the Festival you all know and love.
Although we hoped for clarity and a working scenario where we could plan our event for 2021 safely, it is with great sadness that again we have had to make the decision that to protect the Festivals integrity, the charities Money we are guardians of, and the safety of our Volunteers and customers, we will again need to delay the Beacon Festival until 2022.
We will be in touch again soon to let you know our Dates for June 2022 and we look forward to welcoming you back to our wonderful Family Music Festival. We will also announce when applications for Charities will be open as well as band applications.
We wish you all the best for 2021 and look forward to seeing you in 2022."
The Beacon Festival is a Music festival in Oxfordshire (Watlington) that is a family friendly event that provides tickets for children FREE (u16) so is great value for a family. It is a festival that celebrates real ale, music, workshops and plenty to do for the kids.
We offer a camping weekend for the whole family for just £20 (camping tickets for 2 adults and 2 children) it is a full festival experience just on a scale to suit the average person. The best views over Oxfordshire as the sun sets, this venue is an amazing place to just watch the sun set regardless of the fantastic choice of music, real ale, food, camping and so much more.
Official Statement re 2020
To our Beacon Community
The time has come where a decision has had to be made to safeguard our event and its future, the funds we generate for our charities and worthy causes, our Volunteers, our Beacon Festival Community and the Community of Watlington, where we stage our event.
In short, and with no surprise, we have decided that we have a responsibility to reschedule our event and let our Beacon Festival Family focus on loved ones over the coming weeks.
As a yearly event, we will reschedule for our normal June weekend in 2021, 18th and 19th. And all current tickets will be valid for our Charitable event next year.
**Please bear with us over questions - we will be in further contact, with ticket holders, Musicians, Traders, Volunteers, sponsors and Charities shortly.
