Designing Deafness

Dafydd is a Cochlear Implanted/Deaf Designer known as @silentdesign.wales.

Having won a Creative Conscience Silver Award for his book On&Off, Dafydd is currently exploring design concepts that illustrate his personal experience with deafness. Currently studying an MA with UWTSD, he is investigating how design can help to portray your own unique experiences and that by using your inner voice you can create work that impacts on an emotional and informative level.

Applying Design Thinking in My Sticker Business

Who said Design Thinking was just for large corporations and two-pizza teams? It's a user-centric framework to problem solving that can be applied to a one-person sticker shop!

Desy is a Senior Software Engineer at Prolific by day and an artist & sticker shop owner by night. Her experience working in various Product Teams over the past 10 years has inspired her to apply Design Thinking in her small business. From knowing your customers, identifying user needs and pain points, dogfooding, prototyping, user testing, and more - these processes have helped her innovate at Cute Stickers Only and stand out in a saturated market.
