The mid-summer August Bank Holiday weekend is one of the best few days in London's calendar, with the typical heatwave syncing with parties and festivals throughout the city.
For dance music lovers South West Four is the weekend's highlight, with Pendulum, Tinie Tempah, Eric Prydz, Sigma, Marshmello, Solomun, Gorgon City amongst the Clapham Common headliners. Then pop ska icons Madness host their own festival on August 29th, also on Clapham Common, starring De La Soul, Soul II Soul, David Rodigan, Toddla T, Craig Charles and loads more.
Of course those aren't the only festivals - London's August Bank Holiday has become synonymous with one huge event for as long as we care to remember - Notting Hill Carnival. If you've not been it's absolutely worth visiting, and what's more - it's free to get in, and with immense sound systems, glorious food and positive vibrations wherever you are, Notting Hill Carnival is one of the highlights of the city's cultural calendar.
