Scotland's capital is a supreme destination for the August Bank Holiday, with some of the best parties in the country taking over the city.
The event everyone will be talking about is of course the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - the largest arts festival in the world. Beginning on August 5th and running through to the end of the month, expect the city to be buzzing with comedy, theatre, musicals, opera and everything in between.
Outside of the Fringe though, there's still much to be enjoyed, particularly on the rave front, with Geordie tech emissary Patrick Topping hitting Liquid Rooms on the 25th, and the Baron of Techno, Dave Clarke, joining fellow vet Ben Sims at La Belle Angele the night before.
It's not just the adults that are catered for though - all ages can get involved in this year's Rockore, taking place in nearby Lochgelly with rock and indie bands and cover acts soundtracking a fun filled day for the family.
