Scotland's capital is a supreme destination for the August Bank Holiday, with some of the best parties in the country taking over the city.
The event everyone will be talking about is of course the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - the largest arts festival in the world. Beginning on August 5th and running through to the end of the month, expect the city to be buzzing with comedy, theatre, musicals, opera and everything in between.
Outside of the Fringe though, there's still much to be enjoyed, from Smiths tribute band The Smyths headlining Liquid Rooms on the 26th to Innervisions house and techno mastermind Dixon throwing it down at La Belle Angele.
Paranoid London and Gary Beck bring their acid and techno to Liquid Rooms on the 27th, South African spiritual house DJ Black Coffee closes the Fringe at Bourbon, and Chicagoan disco, funk and soul selector Rahaan hits SKY Bar on the same evening.
