Biography

When it is our time, with no fear or hesitation, we must release the bow...

Blackpool based We Are Troubadour are bringing a new wave of British Rock ‘n’ Roll, drawing on their own northern working-class upbringing along with influences from America, just like their heroes in years gone by.

Known for their classic dress sense, spreading a message of positivity and electrifying live show. Having been described by fans as “The best band I’ve ever seen live” and “Mumford & Sons on Acid” they guarantee a night to remember and songs you’ll be singing on your way home.

We Are Troubadour are an independent band and have had music placed on BBC Tv’s Waterloo Road along with hundreds of performances up and down the country at sold out theatre shows as well as the best-known venues and festivals having supported the likes of Levellers, James, Newton Faulkner, Seth Lakeman and Billy Bragg.

Their current project – Release the Bow – is an ongoing 6 song album which was released single by single over a six-month period featuring artwork by their favourite artist, Darren Elwell, behind the scenes videos & insights into the inner workings of We Are Troubadour and the official videos for the songs. The Release the Bow experience is set to continue as it is regularly added to.

Starting as a duo, and what is now referred to as Twobadour, Mick and Andy formed as a way of passing time around the campfire after long days surfing at some of the U.K.’s best spots. Realising the potential of their songs and abilities they rose quickly on the folk scene and being featured in Acoustic Magazine and releasing 2 albums Layton Road and Carnival Town.

Realising their sonic potential was being limited, the original two sought out the talents of a pair of unassuming but like-minded individuals to complete the band. First enlisting the help of Drummer Chris Tweedie in order to record their debut 'Full Band' EP Infinite Expectations (2015) and adding Bassist Bobby Turner to the line-up for the promotional shows.

Shortly after, Chris left to pursue other interests and We Are Troubadour were introduced by a mutual friend to Liam. Sensing a great fit immediately, the band set about writing new songs, re-arranging some old ones and getting dressed as the dapper gentlemen you see today they hit the recording studio and the road to introduce their brand of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
