Unbeknownst to the masses, Stutter & Twitch are the newest forerunners of Manchester’s elusive funk and soul scene. Hand picking from a list of new, old and strange grooves from the ages, Stutter & Twitch aim not only to treat their audience to a nostalgic and aesthetic night, but also look to educate and trade secret anthems with the soul elite. Alongside their funk and soul nights, the duo are responsible for their own independent record label, releasing 7” singles of new funk, soul and jazz alongside electronica and ambient remixes. All about merging two scenes together, this oxymoron concept translates perfectly both on their label and in their sets.

Although relatively new to the DJ scene, the duo has an impressive résumé under their belts, working with some of Manchester’s most reputable artists and festivals behind the scenes (Buffalo Brothers, The Haggis Horns, Kendal Calling etc). Regularly gigging throughout Manchester and down south at The Blues Kitchen and Queen of Hoxton, the only way for these innovators is up.
